Dance Group "Te Amo Peru" ... since 2004.

Our repertoire includes folk dances from different parts of Peru, is composed of dance students, as well as members of the Peruvian community who love the Peruvian folklore and volunteer their time and enrgy to weekly rehearsals, as well as to countless performances.

The group performs shows for all audiences in public performances and aiding charities. Our aims are to promote and preserve the knowledge of the Peruvian music and dance, its place in our cultural heritage and keep the traditions alive.

Nowadays local musicians are creating new genres like the Amazonian cumbia which is enabling Peru's music to open up to new influences to expand both at home and abroad the native folk music.

Te Amo Peru has performed at venues such as Spanish Quarter Festival, South Juniors club, Fairfield Showground, Swiss Grand Hotel, Marconi Club, Forgolan club, Fiesta-Darling Harbour, Canberra Peruvian Day & others around Sydney.
